Mini R52/R53 Cooper S Tubular Manifold & 2.5″ Catback Exhaust Sports System

This exhaust system replaces everything on the car, the manifold, cat and the cat back. It is made from 63mm tube which gives excellent flow and able to handle high horsepower applications if the supercharger has had it’s boost increased.

2021 Cat Back Design Revision

New for 2021 we have redesigned this exhaust and the tailpipes now come welded together. No more struggling trying to align the tailpipes. As far as we are aware this is the only R53 Cooper S exhaust made this way and it really simplifies the installation.

CAT BACK

This exhaust was designed as an alternative to our race exhaust, the race exhaust was designed to flow and give a loud exhaust sound but with this we have used larger boxes so it is much quieter. Round town and on a motorway it is easy to live with however when you put your foot to the floor you will still get the sound of the supercharged engine under the bonnet.

It has twin 3 1/4″ tailpipes and comes with everything you see in the pictures.

Made by Malian Exhausts from high quality stainless steel and complete with a full fitting kit this exhaust is really easy to fit and will last for many years to come. All welds are done using TIG for ultimate quality and looks.

The early R53 pre-facelift had a slightly different hanger setup at the rear near the battery box and if you have one of these cars you might need to shorten the centre pipe slightly and bend the rear hanger brackets by 90 degrees to get everything to line up. As with all car modification a little fettling to get it to fit is often part of the fun.

Once fitted the car will have more power and a sporty exhaust note.

MANIFOLD

4 into 1 design for optimum street and race performance. One of these manifolds is currently fitted to the Misty Racing car that is in the Mini Challenge Cup.

New for 2020 we have updated the design to make fitment easier and with a stronger flexi.

IMPORTANT FITTING NOTE: When fitting this manifold you will need to move the ARB out of the way to gain the clearance required. If the ARB is not removed during fitting, it increases the chance of the flexible joint failing. Any warranty claim made for a failed flexi joint MUST HAVE photographic evidence of the ARB being removed during installation.

DECAT

With this package you remove the cat, is you require a cat this can be purchased at a later date or see our other packages for one that includes the cat.
