Mazda MX5 1.8 Mk1 2.5″ Decat Performance Exhaust Pipe, (NA, 95 to 98)

This pipe allows you to remove the cat and replace it with a straight through pipe.

This removes the restrictive filter and gives the car more power, it is not legal to run this pipe on the road in the UK.

It is painted in a black VHT paint to prevent corrosion. Made from 2.5″ mild steel this pipe is 440mm long, Mazda changed the length of the cat around 1996 so make sure you have the 440mm version and not the 370mm one of the earlier cars.

This pipe has been designed to fit with aftermarket exhaust manifolds and is not ideally suited to the OEM manifold and downpipe, the 2.5″ flange can be slightly to big to make an easy seal on the OEM pipe. However the use of an oversize gasket on the downpipe can overcome this issue.

The pipe is made from 10mm mild steel flanges with a 1.5mm mild steel tube and TIG welded joints, it comes complete with a pair of gaskets and a set of M8 nuts, bolts and washers and a pair of stickers.
