This exhaust manifold fits the E36 chassis BMWs with the M50 or M52 6 cylinder engines.

Dual 3-into-1 design for optimum street performance, where the exhaust meets the OEM system the pipes are 2″ ID. Estimated power gains from 10 – 30 BHP depending on other supporting mods. The whole manifold has been TIG welded for strength and durability. All six primary runners have a 38 mm internal diameter (ID).

Fitment notes

Suitable for BMW E36 M3 models with the S50 engine when used as part of a complete Malian engine-back system. Compatibility with the original S50 exhaust system is not confirmed.

Important: These pipes remove the restrictive OE manifolds, they join the OE exhaust at the front of the floor pan so you will need to cut the OE exhaust to fit these. These manifolds do avoid the steering shaft but are still extremely tight, if your engine mounts are old and worn the manifold might touch in which case you either need to fit a skinny steering shaft or replace the engine mounts. IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE – if you find you are struggling for clearance, we suggest raising the engine for optimum results. Many BMW owners recommend this to gain ground clearance and avoid sump damage.
IMPORTANT – RHD steering clearance (MAL-174 manifold): Clearance to the steering shaft is very tight. Check engine-mount condition before fitting. A slimline/skinny steering shaft may be required if adequate clearance cannot be achieved. Verify clearance during steering and engine movement; the shaft must never contact the exhaust. Not mandatory on every car.
