VAG 1.6/2.0 TDi CR Engine 3″ (76mm) DPF Removal Stainless Exhaust Pipe

This is a 3″ bore pipe that allows you to remove the restrictive DPF filter and cat which are fitted to all modern diesel engines. When on track the DPF can cause you lots of problems and sap power.

Designed with 2 adapters included to allow the pipe to fit the 1.6 engine and also both the low power and the high power 2.0 engines.

The DPF or diesel particulate filter is fitted in the exhaust and catches soot and other diesel particulates, these filters have to go through a regeneration every once in a while which is controlled by the ECU, this usually happens when the vehicle is on the motorway. If the vehicle has not been able to regenerate the filter for a while or there is a fault with the engine itself the filter will block up and initially cause a fault to appear on the dash board, if you continue to use the vehicle the filter can block completely causing the engine to stop running. A new filter from a dealer will often be £500 or more plus labour.

Removing the DPF allows the engine to breath more efficiently freeing up power and reducing fuel consumption, it also improves reliability.

Directly replace s VAG part number 5N0 131 765 A, it will also fit other VAG models but the sensors will not all fit. Some of the later cars have an extra temp sensor in the nect where it meets the turbo and others have different fittings where the pressure sensors go into the pipe. If you have one of the other types it is usually very easy to sort but might require some adapters of welding for installation. The catalyst is also removed with this pipe.

This pipe is made from stainless steel and will come with everything you can see in the pictures.

Once the pipe is fitted the car will need to have the ECU remapped otherwise the EML light will probably show and cause the car to go into a limp mode.
