Mini R52/R53 Cooper S Tubular Manifold & 2.5″ Catback Exhaust Race System x

This exhaust system replaces everything on the car, the manifold, cat and the cat back. It is made from 63mm tube which gives excellent flow and able to handle high horsepower applications if the supercharger has had it’s boost increased. In the package: – Equal length tubular exhaust manifold – Resonated decat pipe – Race cat back system – 10m Black exhaust heat wrap with ties – Gaskets and fittings Fits the Mini R53 Cooper S and R52 Cooper S models only. CAT BACK It has twin 3 1/4″ tailpipes and comes with everything you see in the pictures. The early R53 pre-facelift had a slightly different hanger setup at the rear near the battery box and if you have one of these cars you might need to shorten the centre pipe slightly to get everything to line up. As with all car modification a little fettling to get it to fit is often part of the fun. With the R52 there is an extra brace in the centre that the R53 didn’t have, this will need to be removed and refitted during the installation. If you position the clamp that sits on the pipe above this brace badly then the clamp will hit the brace so when fitting bear this in mind and ensure that you position the clamp for maximum clearance to the brace and the exhaust will fit without issues. Once fitted the car will have more power and a loud exhaust note. MANIFOLD 4 into 1 design for optimum street and race performance. One of these manifolds is currently fitted to the Misty Racing car that is in the Mini Challenge Cup. New for 2020 we have updated the design to make fitment easier and with a stronger flexi. IMPORTANT FITTING NOTE: When fitting this manifold you will need to move the ARB out of the way to gain the clearance required. If the ARB is not removed during fitting, it increases the chance of the flexible joint failing. Any warranty claim made for a failed flexi joint MUST HAVE photographic evidence of the ARB being removed during installation. DECAT With this package you remove the cat, is you require a cat this can be purchased at a later date or see our other packages for one that includes the cat.
